The most spontaneous Valentine’s Day getaways in America revealed

It is time to swap flowers and chocolate for a travel app. In a new survey commissioned by priceline.com, 82 percent of Americans say one of the sexiest things to give a significant other is a spontaneous, last-minute getaway.

And while almost everyone loves a spontaneous trip, better plan on making the reservations yourself.  Sixty-seven percent of Americans in the survey said they, not their significant other, are the ones who have to reserve a last-minute getaway in order for it to happen.

Priceline.com also released its list of the top 10 destinations for Valentine’s Day 2015, based on actual hotel reservations made for the big day.  This year, Las Vegas is number one, followed by San Diego and then New York City.
