SpiceJet to launch Pune-Dubai daily flights on April 15

NEW DELHI: No-frills carrier SpiceJet today said it will launch a daily direct air service between Pune and Dubai from April 15 which would replace the existing four days-a-week services to Sharjah from the second largest city of Maharashtra after Mumbai.

Dubai is an important destination for SpiceJet and Pune is the sixth city in the country from where the airline will be serving Dubai, SpiceJet said in a release.

At present, SpiceJet connects Dubai with Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kochi, Madurai and Mumbai.

The airline also plans to connect two more cities -- Amritsar and Mangalore -- to Dubai in the coming weeks, which would take the total number of domestic airports to eight, from where SpiceJet will be providing connectivity to Dubai, the release said.
