Thomas Cook launches ‘Weekend Beyond Borders’

Thomas Cook (India) has launched ‘Weekend Beyond Borders’ for travellers to make the most of this year’s 13 long weekends with 13 hand-picked international destinations. The destinations, which offer simple visa formalities, include Turkey, Thailand, Mauritius, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Jordon, Seychelles, Hong Kong, Oman, Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Indonesia, as per a release. The packages a priced at minimum Rs 7,500 (land package, per person on twin share). Moreover, the holiday will be delivered in 48 hours prior to departure, the company states in the release. Shibani Phadkar, Senior Vice President & Head – Leisure Travel Outbound, Products, Contracting, Operations & Tour Management, Thomas Cook (India) Ltd., says, “As per the UNWTO Visa Openness Report 2014, over half (56 per cent) of all improvements made between 2010 and 2014 were from ‘visa required’ to ‘visa on arrival’, and given the global relaxation in visa policies, outbound destinations have indeed become ideal weekend getaways.
