MoT proposes biometrics on arrival at Indian airports

In order to allay the confusion generated over biometrics mandated by India for certain countries, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has proposed to the government to consider biometrics at arrival airports in India, in to order to avoid inconvenience for discerning travellers. This was revealed by Dr Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State with Independent Charge for Tourism & Culture, Government of India, while speaking to the media on the sidelines of an event organised by Kerala Tourism in Delhi. He said that the department is aware of the issue and efforts are on to resolve the same in consultation with the ministries concerned.
