Vistara seems to be struggling to fill seats
NEW DELHI: Vistara, a Tata Group and Singapore Airlines Ltd joint venture company, seems to be struggling to fill seats in their flights and has reported lowest load factors in the industry for the third consecutive month.
The airline, which has introduced premium economy for the first time in the country, reported load factors of 53.6% during the month of March - a decline from 58.6% in February but an increase from 45.4% in January.
While the load factors for Vistara fell, the airline increased its market share from 0.5% in February to 0.8% in March on the back of new flights launched by the airline.
AirCosta reported the second lowest load factors in the industry during March and flew its planes with 69.2% seats full and maintained its 1% market share. JetLite reported the highest load factors by flying its flights with 87.8% seats full.
