Cruise Mantra bullish about growth of cruise vacations in Indian market
Cruise Mantra, a cruise boutique based out of New Delhi, is optimistic about the growth of cruising as a holiday option among Indian travellers. The company is expecting a growth of about 30 per cent in its business this year. Currently, Cruise Mantra is promoting packages of MSC Cruises and Costa Cruises to the Mediterranean and Northern Europe for the June to September period.
Gurjit Singh Ahuja, CEO & Founder, Cruise Mantra, said, “Asia Pacific has emerged as a popular destination for cruising, with Singapore as the hub. Brands like Costa Cruises and Royal Caribbean are looking at the opportunities offered by this development. Also, Dubai has opened a separate cruise terminal and has started offering multiple-entry cruise visa. This enables Indians to enjoy cruise vacations near to home. Singapore and Dubai are short-haul destinations from India and the visa process is quite hassle-free, which is imperative to growth. The misconception that cruising is an expensive travel option is fading away. It is an all-inclusive holiday with a plethora of offerings like swimming pools, spas, gyms, casinos, restaurants, theatres, shopping, kid areas, etc., all under one roof. Travellers can choose to disembark at a port of call or relax onboard. We have noticed more and more middle-class travellers are opting for a cruise vacation.”
