Indigo, Honeywell ink pact for Airbus A320neo's avionics suite

NEW DELHI: Global aircraft engine maker Honeywell has inked a pact with domestic budget carrier IndiGo to supply avionics suite for the latter's Airbus A320neo aircraft.

Gurgaon-based IndiGo, the country's largest airline by market share, had last year placed order with the European aircraft-maker Airbus for supply of 250 A320neo planes.

IndiGo's A320neo fleet would feature Honeywell's smartrunway/smartlanding system, which increases awareness during taxi, takeoff and landing phases by helping pilots ensure that the aircraft has a stabilised approach and is configured to land, a release said.
