SpiceJet adds flights from Delhi to Amritsar, Bengaluru, Dharamshala, Dehradun
SpiceJet announces additional flights connecting Delhi to Amritsar, Bengaluru, and Dharamshala for the summer season and to Dehradun until October 24. The Amritsar, Dehradun and Dharamshala flights will be operated by SpiceJet’s Bombardier Q400 aircraft, and the Bengaluru flight by Boeing 737s. With these new flights, frequency of service for the summer will increase from 7 to 13 flights weekly to Dharamshala, from 7 to 14 flights weekly to Amritsar, from 14 to 20 flights weekly to Dehradun, and from 21 to 25 flights weekly to Bengaluru from Delhi. ”The addition of these flights will help meet the increased demand for these increasingly popular destinations, especially in peak season,” says Shilpa Bhatia, SVP and Head of Sales, SpiceJet.
“SpiceJet is maximisation aircraft utilisation as part of its turnaround strategy, and with these new flight additions, we will be flying our Boeing aircraft at an average of 14 block hours, and the Q400 aircraft an average of 12 block hours, a day. We believe these are amongst the most efficient aircraft utilisations for either aircraft type anywhere in the world,” says Sanjiv Kapoor, Chief Operating Officer, SpiceJet.
