The South Beach Singapore eyes Indian luxury outbound market

Singapore-based luxury hotel, The South Beach is looking at tapping the Indian luxury outbound traveller segment. The 654-room (including 49 suites and two sky gardens) luxury H.I.P. (Highly Individualised People and Places) hotel is part of a mixed-use development and will open by September this year, informed Jenny Soo, Executive Assistant Manager Sales, Marketing & Services, The South Beach Singapore, who was on a week’s tour of India recently. Soo met leading tour operators in Mumbai and New Delhi and made presentations to educate the trade on the USPs, features, and facilities of the property.

Speaking to TravelBiz Monitor, Soo said, “In September, we will have the soft opening of the property, and by the end of the year, the hotel will be fully operational. This is my first official trip to India on behalf of The South Beach, and I am here to build relationships with Indian tour operators, meet key players, and understand the market and Indian travel behaviour.”
