VisitEngland will cease to have specific England representative or office in India. According to Reem Khokhar, outgoing Regional Manager – Asia Pacific, VisitEngland, the VisitEngland’s international activity was funded by a three-year fund called the Regional Growth Fund from the British government. As VisitEngland’s Regional Growth Funding comes to end on 31 March, 2015 VisitEngland will cease to have specific England representatives actively supporting destinations and the industry overseas. However, this does not mean that England will not be promoted overseas. VisitEngland will work closely with English destinations and VisitBritain to ensure England is promoted internationally. However there will no longer be a VisitEngland contact or office in India.
